Keystone Healthy Zone Mini-Grant Winners

Congratulations to all 2006 Keystone Healthy Zone Schools. PANA applauds your commitment to integrating nutrition and physical activity into the total learning environment.

The following 100 schools have been selected to receive a $2,000 mini-grant to improve policies and practices that support healthy eating and physical activity. The following schools submitted plans for SUSTAINABLE changes to improve coordinated school health efforts, food and beverage choices, physical education, and/or physical activity opportunities.

We encourage ALL PA schools to take part in 2006-07 Keystone Healthy Zone activities. The Keystone Healthy Zone Online Assessment and Mini-grant process will be provided again in the Spring of 2007.

Mini-grants are provided as a result of the generosity and sponsorship involvement of: American Heart Association, Giant Food Stores, The Heinz Endowment, PA Department of Health, and the PA State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
